The standardized Q-DAS® database system
facilitates the exchange of quality information,
regardless of which supplier of Measurement,
Test and Assembly system is used and even
bridges the gap between competitive supplier
systems. In addition the Q-DAS® ASCII
transfer format and the Quality Markup

Language (QML) provide a standardized
protocol for data collection from Tier
Suppliers of component parts. Certified
supplier interfaces allow for easy transfer of
data and integration of a wide range of

Real-time visualization and the control of quality data, close to the origin of production, allows for direct identification of significant changes and fast access for correcting measures. Programmable levels of Operator Interaction with the process data makes it possible to filter out erroneous measurements

Centrally located data centers control and
manage Gauge Control Plans, distributing them
as needed to the local shop floor systems.
Control Plan requirements, such as, frequency
of measurement are communicated to the
right shop floor system at the right time as a
prompt for the operator to measure the part.

The recorded process measurements are
automatically synchronized back to the Central
Database, providing a centralized view of the
entire manufacturing process. Gauge Control
and Test plans can now be Synchronized with
large management systems such as SAP® R/3®
with a direct turnkey interface.

According to plant specific requirements, Q-DAS®
Data Archiving Utilities can automatically
compress large sums of raw measured values
into calculated statistical values and reports. The
Customer is able to select which statistical
parameters and reports are calculated based on

time and process stream with the raw measured
values spooled off for archiving (easily retrieved
should they be needed for further detailed
analysis) or completely deleted. Compacted data
helps the user visualize changes in the process
over an extended period of time.
